Nakita Irvin 

Nakita left her 8-5 job and founded Tasty Island Treats in 2017 to bring Fiji's first brand of artisanal fresh fruit ice pops to the market in Suva. Nakita's favourite CHILLPOP flavour is Mango Cream.

Olita Matanatabu

Olita is our chief ice pop artisan and has been with Tasty Island Treats since the beginning research & development phase.  She manages the production of CHILLPOPS and also creates new flavour recipes to help make sure our customers keep coming back.  She currently trains & manages a trainee.  Her all time favourite CHILLPOP flavour is Watermelon Soursop.

SUSTAINABILITY 

Tasty Island Treats was founded on the principles of environmental and social sustainability.  If you've ordered ice pops chances are that you've also met Nakita's husband Andrew who delivers CHILLPOPS on his bicycle and also rides the ice trike!  They are both passionate about the environment and ensuring the business model has a low carbon footprint where possible.   Locally grown ingredients are only used to promote local flavours and locally grown fruits and produce with the exception of our cocoa nibs which are ethically sourced from a social enterprise in Vanuatu.  Ingredients are purchased either directly from farmers or from the Suva Municipal Market, depending on availability of certain fruits and our young coconuts are sourced from the "bu boys" of Suva City. 
Tasty Island Treats uses a profit share business model where employees receive a percentage of the profit from sales as a bonus after training and a a certain time period of being with the company.  The idea is that as the business grows, employees will have incentive to stay and utilize their skills and earn a decent income that grows with the business.
